Buy Yanko a membership? Hecks bells, no. Then he'd be back on the front page three times a week. If he put his mind to it, that is.

You do miss your friends, though, when they wander off.

Martinis & other stuff? yeah, stir 'em all up.

I didn't renew because I wasn't getting anything out of my membership. The challenges aren't challenging. The pond has dried up so much that I'm sure gyaban has tried to enter the same challenge twice just so he can give himself a little competition. Now of course I could just ignore that aspect, but with such inspiring themes like Light on White V or Color on Color III running every week why bother? I could try using the Suggestion Forums again, but Langdon seems to have those permanently set to ignore.

Having an extra challenge as a member provides choices AND an extra opportunity to enter. However, if you don't like the challenge topics, it wouldn't matter whether you have one challenge to enter or twenty. You can also suggest a more challenging topic yourself. Despite your claims of Langdon's inaction, 20 of the last 35 completed topics were recent suggestions (most within a week or two of the challenge running), and some of the repeats were also requested in the forums.

Yeah, why do we just sit around complaining... why don't we suggest some ideas of our own??

Excellent bump Steve. The series suggestion alone is worth a few bucks to the make yanko a member pot.

Well they lost the option of choice. But seriously, its $25 for a year (thats 0.07/day, 0.48/week, 2.08/month) I spend more then that on coke a week, or heck, chips, or coffee, or stupid iPhone games.. well you get the idea :)

I didn't see yanko's membership anywhere on that list. You suck.

Tempting as it is, I just don't see the point. I mean I know everyone here knows you and all, but why complain about something that your not participating in anyway nor have any plans to?! You haven't entered any challenges in almost 6 months, so what difference is it if they offer you 1 or 2 choices? you're still pick none.

Besides, I doubt its the actual $25 your complaining about anyway.

My post to you was just tongue in cheek. I wasn't asking for anyone to buy me a membership. Leo did which is very nice and I'll return the favor.

You'd collect your millions from the government, live a good life and wouldn't even know what to do with the matter...

Really?! Hmmmm...seems to me this grumpy racehorse needs a bit more of a challenge...

There is a slight problem with the site template now that this has gone into effect.

It clearly appears as if the Free study is one of two open challenges AND the open challenge still says choose one. The Free study of course reflects that its a member challenge when you click on it. Wasn't sure if this was brought up.

Now it appears that you have to choose What's in Your Fridge? or Henri Cartier-Bersson.

Members can enter both, correct?

I didn't look at the details. As I was typing this it appears the "Exclusive Challenge (Choose One)" header was removed.

I would like to see one somewhere between minimal and basic, I like minimal, tho I would like to be able to crop and remove sensor dust, but thats all.

I suspect we'll be seeing the Friday challenge flipping between expert and minimal, though I could be wrong about that...
