Check this out. Who is going to be the first? Would have been a cool shot for the current point of view challenge.

I would soooo do that.. guessing the wont let you hang cameras over the edge tho. Love the CN!

That and..the glass bridge over the Grand Canyon.. need to go back to see that too :)

I'm going to suggest it at work as a team building exercise.

$175 to do it, and I'll bet they upsell the crap out of you on photos/videos, which I'd certainly want. It's common sense they won't allow you to carry anything up there, as it would be a hazard to those below, which rules out even my little Samsung.

Doubt you'd be allowed to take your camera out there. I know you're not allowed to take your camera on the glass platform at the Grand Canyon.

I'm waiting for the first reports of puke showers. How gross would that be!?!

I knew you would have some useful insight on it.

All those tourists standing at the base of the tower... gazing up... open-mouthed...

Out of curiosity, do you know why? (I don't...) I would guess though that it's because someone might drop their camera, shatter the glass, and everyone would plummet to the bottom. I. Hate. Heights.

I doubt a dropped camera would shatter the glass. They say it's so you won't scratch the glass if it drops. You also have to wear special booties or sock feet, no shoes. But I suspect the real reason for not allowing cameras on the Grand Canyon skywalk is so they can charge you an arm and a leg to sell you a picture of you on the skywalk.

No, it's because the tribe wants to wring every last possible cent out of you. If the glass was so delicate that dropping a 2 pound camera would shatter it, then there is no way it would support any human weight.

Hells no! I had trouble with this little window in the Auckland Skytower, and it is inside:
