This is such a fun thread, it would really be sad to see it waste away.
I think Adz started out by assigning us each a week to display an image for processing.
Just to recap, we got through the first three weeks thusly:
Image 1
Adz's Image.

Image 2
MargaretN's image.

Full size JPEG:
Downloadable Raw File (Canon)

AND ALTERNATIVE

Downloadable raw file (canon)

Others who were assigned weeks, but who may not have posted yet are:
In:
Adz Week 1 (posted)
MargaretN Week 2 (posted)
ejorgens Week 3
Yo_Spiff Week 4
bohemka Week 5
sjhuls Week 6
sfalice Week 7
GinaRothfels Week 8
joynim Week 9

If people want to continue that would be great. ejorgens actually dropped out after sending me a PM, so I'll send Yo_Spiff a PM asking for an image.

I didn't get assigned to post a picture, but if you want I can post a Macro for this week.

I've sent Yo_Spiff a message as well but I guess having two pics might get a few more people interested. Yeh go ahead and post it, that will be great. :-)

My first go at editing a macro image. Thoughts?

Editing steps in image notes.

Silent Shooter has done such a super job on getting this macro to sing, I decided to go a different route:

Viveza 2, processed head and body separately.
Topaz simplify, BizSim & Cartoon
lots burning to bring out head & other details

Working off above edit, added Fractilius preset and played with blending modes

To take this critter to the truly strange, added the Difference Blending Mode
(You'd never guess which one I really like)

and then I did a watercolor overlay on soft light blend

Interesting that the fine detail of the eyes disappears when it's resized.

Just wanted to play around with colors on this one.

Made possible through the alchemy of the digital darkroom by way of "Match Colors" and this image (because I thought the colors would work well into YoSpiff's image):
..along with several passes at blurring, using the old standby, "Multiply Blending Mode".
If this explanation is a little sketchy, it's because it all happened very quickly and I didn't want to stop to take notes and lose the moment.

I know, nag, nag. So who's after Yo_Spiff?
This is too much fun to give up on.

Is it too late to play along? I've not been trolling the forums much lately and just saw this.

Go for it. Been a pretty slow side challenge, I think with Summer and all that goes with it it is slowed down, may just be me though.
