I have quietly kept my eye on this day as I've been meaning to make a pinhole lens for ages but haven't amassed the motivation to borrow a drill from my friend down the street. I was kind of hoping a speed challenge would have popped up for it, as it would have gotten me off my ass. I'll try to make one today anyway, as there's something symbolic to that.

Ben must be trapped under something heavy? Anyway, you can post photos here, or, of course, here in the thread. I know some are doing that for photo a week anyway, so not much need for another side challenge, but I did want to mention it.

Still not too late for a speed challenge though, eh?

I guess I was misinformed -- according to the sign posted at a local camera store, the event is scheduled for next Sunday, May 1. They plan to give a workshop for people to make/use pinhole cameras, and will process the photos there.

A needle, some tin foil and a body cap are all you need. Technically you don't even need a body cap; you could just tape or hold the foil over the lens opening. Crude, yes, but you might get interesting results.

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing in the end as I couldn't locate a drill to make the body cap version. I just taped tinfoil to the frame. Interesting results. I'll post a few in a bit.

Yep, my jaw dropped when I saw the Fall NY scene. Beautiful stuff. I like how he uses a prism to invert the image.
