So, in my comment to my favourite image in the Fine Art II challenge, Anita's wonderful " Once upon a time ", , i said it reminded me of a Rocky Schenck photogaph. High praise indeed as i do love his images. I thought i'd post a link for others who may not have seen his work. So, you can see a selection of his images here and, for anyone interested, i highly recommend his book.

How true... Anita is creating wonderful images with her Coolpix.
Here is another from Anita's portfolio that is very Schenckish, yet with a personality all its own:

can anyone explain the process used to get this look? I realky like it!

Well, Anita explains her process in her notes to her image. As to Rocky Schneck, there is an interview with him herein which he explains some of his process whilst keeping a lot close to his chest but basically its seems to be both 35mma and medium format film with filters and diffusion and some darkroom manipulation. And a wonderful photopgraphic eye and buckets load of talent of course.

Ok so here I was googling Rocky Schenck, because my admiration for his work, and I find this thread on the google engine that clive_patric_nolan started in April this year, and Lo and behold I found this!

Well I was thinking it would be great to imitate his style on DP, is anyone else interested?

Anita's "Once Upon a Time" made a tremendous impression on me. Back then I started my comment with:
"Please turn the page so we can follow ...."
I am following her since.
Personally, I prefer to see her images instead of poorly done blurry pictures in the manner of
Rocky Schenck and with a clear goal of getting a ribbon. But it's certainly worth trying ...
