Don't be sure about that. Perhaps all the entry are going to be disqualified and a random member could be chosen to be the winner :) Btw. Like to see some photos too

The first part of my post about your friend delivering the straps to both of you was in jest...I was only kidding.

While I was posting that joke, I decided to follow up with a bit of a jab at Langdon for not responding to what many of the members have been asking for. It's one thing to decide not to run DPL again, but to not even respond (that I have seen) to the numerous requests for it is really disappointing.

This month Langdon will send the prize overseas :)

He does not need to, he can have it shipped to a Chicago, IL address; a friend on mine is visiting there and she can bring it with her.

I was talking about me :)

Maybe she could take one to you too!

Actually, I'm sure that Langdon can afford to ship a camera strap anywhere one is due. After all, he saves quite a lot of money and conserves his own efforts here by having a staff of site council members to address many of the issues of this website for free.

He doesn't seem to have do much of anything including responding to so many requests for DPL. So I'm sure that doing something like shipping a strap overseas wouldn't be dipping too far in to the dues that members are paying or take away too much of the time that he has available to spend on DPChallenge.

Why would I have him pay if I can afford not to? What do I care how much money he makes! What I have learned here is much more the the 25$ I pay every year.

Plus it is not about money it's about convenience.

Landgon contacted me through the DPC system, about two weeks after the free study ended. I would wait a bit....then contact him if you do not hear from him in a timely manner.

Submit an Administrative ticket -- that goes directly to Langdon. SC has nothing to do with this, other than perhaps wishing we could get one too ... ;-)

Yes...I did receive the strap. It is really quite nice...I meant to take a picture of it and post on here sometime ago. They really do exist!!!!

I got the strap within a month of winning the April Free-study (the first one).

Anyone else get theirs?

AMAZING! Maybe this site can re-kinde its pervious strength.

Awesome, Langdon! How wonderful! I don't have a chance of winning one, but will be happy to see who does!

Thanks!

'details provided in this post are subject to change'
sounds like a poisson d'avril to me.

And for the hand strap users ?.

I find that taking the neckstrap and looping it once or twice around my wrist works as well as or better than a dedicated wrist-strap.

Yeah that's what i do and its fine, i was just trying to stir things up a bit.

I use hand-strap only :-\

Then you can send it to me if you win the freestudy. :)

Sure :)

I guess I'm the only one here who does NOT think this is an April Fool's prank.

It is indeed not a joke.

The best April Fool prank of all... a prank that's not a prank...

Indeed, you take the cake on this one Langdon, well done - best prank I've seen in a while.
