Seems a bit overexposed on my monitor...the sky and the top of the building on the right blend in together and you lose all detail. Have you tried a different crop with more emphasis on the resting person?

Have to agree with Laurie - photo seems overexposed. If you have PS CS you might try the shadow/highlight adjustment.
What other pics do you have of NOLA?
edited to remove my pics so as not to detract from RLS photo discussion :-)

yes. there are lots of places towards the top of your pics that are indeed overexposed. Perhaps some work with the levels & layers may cure your shots of this.
Otherwise, nice shots!
