I think this should be updated little more often. Sometimes a news sits there for a year. Either get rid of it, or update it with some "new" news, such as recalculations, who killed shot JR... stuff like that.

How about news from our famous members? I know we don't do interviews anymore, but really... "Site News" is getting old :-\

Site News
6th March
Today, one of our long-standing members FocusPoint asked for the 'site news' section to be updated. He claimed that 'sometimes news sits there for a year' The suggestion is currently with the DPC management, who weren't available for comment.

This just in...

Notwithstanding the fact that the Site News has yet to be updated, some members of DPC have noticed that a request has been made to do just that. A movement is afoot to see if some sort of award can be given to Focuspoint for bringing this matter to the fore. :O)

I will shoot him.......with my camera of course, if we can get some updated news on the site. I usually report or cover the news for the paper, but I'll be the news one time for the betterment of the site. :D

You people are stirring up trouble and discontent. Just another reason to raise the price of gas. I blame social networking.

In site news this morning; MattO threatens to shoot FocusPoint who unknown to us offers a hostage for MattO to shoot. It was unknown to autorities that hostages were involved.

Our roving reporter Art Roflmao explains the rising cost of gas, blaming trouble, discontent and social networking.

In other Site News, when requested by LarrySlights to reveal its insides, the refrigerator living in the kitchen of SFAlice, was reported to have emitted strange smells and also made a disgusting mess. SFAlice, overcome with emotion, was unavailable for comment.

This just in...a reputable source states that effective immediately DPC will be handing out only "Half Ribbons" due to cutbacks and the austerity program. :O)

IreneM is back with a BANG

First entry of this year, and she won a blue (again). She said she is back to get some water!

*** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS ***

Is this really Joey Lawrence?

librodo said so. He also said Joey was lost somewhere in Africa, that's why he had facial hair(!). librodo told us after this shot, Joey took a shower and shaved.

After this thread, Langdon decided to open DPC store next month. However, he said there won't be hats, or shirts... rather he is planning to sell women's underwear for more profit. Each underwear will have some of the blue ribbon photos, such as apple...

...and other things that will make you keep looking,

*** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS ***

One of DPC members FocusPoint (that would be me...) has trapped his own trap(!) He is out of ideas for Lucky 13 challenge, which he suggested, and picked. If you see him (me) around, yelling and screaming like a 12 years old girl lost her cellphone, please don't get too close.

*** NEWS *** NEWS *** NEWS ***

Slowest week ever for DPC. Votes and forums this weekend was the slowest. Scientists blaming this to Global Warming... like they do for everything these days. DPC hopes and waits for a better crowd soon.

*** FALSE NEWS *** FALSE NEWS *** FALSE NEWS ***

Langdon is planning for a joke on April 1st. According to reliable sources (that would be me again), our icons will be upside down that day all day... and rest of the year (because he will forget to correct them, before start drinking again).

PS: Langdon's drinking problem is not exist, I just made that up

A story with possible implications for a future challenge ...

2,500 rubber ducks stolen from Ill. police academy

Mar 25, 5:14 PM (ET)

YORKVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A flotilla of yellow rubber ducks intended for a fund-raising event has been stolen from a police academy in suburban Chicago.

The Beacon-News in Aurora says Friday that some 2,500 ducks took flight this week from the Yorkville Citizens Police Academy.

Police say several of the toy ducks have been found on a Yorkville roadway and request that any more found be returned to the academy.

Police plan to use the toy ducks in their annual "Duck Pluck" to raise funds for the academy.

'Moby-Duck': When 28,800 Bath Toys Are Lost At Sea -- Today's (3/29/11) "Fresh Air" program on NPR.
Originally posted by Program notes:

In 1992, a cargo ship container tumbled into the North Pacific, dumping 28,000 rubber ducks and other bath toys that were headed from China to the U.S. Currents took them, and news reports said some may have eventually reached Maine and other shores on the Atlantic.

Thirteen years later, journalist Donovan Hohn undertook a mission: He wanted to track the movements of the wayward ducks, from the comfort of his own living room.

"I figured I'd interview a few oceanographers, talk to a few beachcombers, read up on ocean currents and Arctic geography and then write an account of the incredible journey of the bath toys lost at sea," he tells Fresh Air's Dave Davies. "And all this I would do, I hoped, without leaving my desk."
