Naw. Don't let it get to you. I liked the challenge. And I thought it was interesting to dissect it a little more and find out why some straight forward shoe shots were much more effective that other straight forward shoe shots. It was a good opportunity to really figure out the nuances in what works and what doesn't.

Hey you did well in the street photography challenge that was a great shot ..chin up that was a PB ..well done

The trick is figuring out what you like to shoot and your style. Some challenges will suit you and others won't. Personally I don't do a lot of studio or staged shots so the shoe one was a challenge for me. I'm also not into people so for the street challenge I went a different route and got hammered for it. I liked my street shot and I learned a lot while shooting it. As long as you are out shooting and learning then that is what matters. In the end you have to be happy with your photograph, remember art is very subjective. Some people will like what you do and others won't. |

welcome!! Don't let the numbers bother you. One of the best things to do when you're first starting on the site, is simply try to beat yourself. I spent the first year ignoring the other scores and simply trying to beat my own average. Actually, I still go by that. A successful challenge, imo, is one where I've beaten my own average. :) |

Love to read the comments,yet the score..5.5..Damm..this is really a though subject espcially when its about lonly shoes with lonly colors and lonly editing..:)) and I really gave it a big effort..

That's quite all right. I feel the same way about writing comments as I do about challenge entries. I do it for me, I learn quite a bit during the commenting process. It really makes me think about the score I am giving, why do I feel a certain way, what is it that I like, what is it that I don't like. I actually go through and score everything first then go back through and comment on the items. I find while leaving the comments I often change a score as I give it more thought. Commenting on everything isn't easy you should try it sometime. Some people will like my comments some people won't that's ok with me. |
