I sent in a ticket regarding the hiding of subfolders in the workshop. They told me GeneralE just brought it to their attention as well, and Langdon has been asked to look into it. Ought to be a pretty simple coding change, no problem, I'd think.

For what it's worth, the earlier example (clicking on the Cherub picture and then on the 2011 collection) now gives me the "This collection is not browseable" message.

The problem was fixed, but the fix created another problem, which AFAIK has now also been fixed.

If you find any further problems of this type, please submit a DPC Administrative Ticket. It goes straight to Langdon, who is the only one who can do anything about it anyway.

what do you think? Do you think I'll get slammed if I have more than one sentinel?

After rethinking it again I am not sure this idea is going to work well for everyone involved. As I have not been added to the list I will leave it at that.

calm down I'm sure it was just an oversite on Wendy's part. I don't think she would purposely leave anyone off the list. After all she let me on the list ;)

I don't think so. Especially since the search page in the description of the challenge has some examples where there are multiple sentinels.
I did notice that those sentinels all tended to be of the same kind of thing, so I suppose some people might mark you down if you are considering two very different things to be the sentinel. I wouldn't, but you never with voters.

I think the majority of the images will be 1 main subject, but there are always exceptions. I can't say that I would vote it down, but I have a pretty good idea most people would. If you wanted to stay on the safe side I would stick to 1 main subject. I don't know if you have shot for this already, but if you have I would be happy to look at them and give you a better opinion.

I'm sorry. You've been added.

A couple of people asked questions, but never really committed, so I left them off until they decide for sure. I just missed your post that said ok. Sorry! :)

Hey everyone. I just posted an image over at Flickr and would love some feedback. It is a tasteful nude and may not be SFW, depending on where you work :-)

The tones are intentional as my attempt to make it look more like a classical painting.

whoa... the scary is how incredibly different the small thumbnail on the grey background looks compared to a larger picture with a black background.

Ok -- we really need to increase the size of landscape orientation photos and be able to select our viewing background shade for our photo!

They have me blocked from flickr at work. I can do it when I get home though. :o)

Thanks, Wendy. Although I'm going to work on the image again, I'm not going to replace it again on Flickr, but will on my personal site. It's not like DPC where you can replace an image and keep all your comments/views :-)

OK, I would welcome some feedback on possible entries to the sentinel challenge. I am a noob and just began entering challenges. The challenge scores help me understand how my entries are received overall, but I could use more specific feedback to learn what things I need to work on. So, is anyone available to give me some feedback on picking a sentinel entry and where they are weak?
