It's my claim to fame!

Not sure how many people would've heard of Justin Quinnell here, particularly as he is a pinhole photographer and this is a digital photography forum, but I just wanted to share some of his work with everyone as I find it all really fascinating. Today he held an all day lecture at my college (we are currently working on an assignment which is all about experimental/surreal photography) in which he showed us a lot of his work, taught us how to make pinhole camera's which exposed straight to photo sensitive paper from old, empty beer cans and gaffer tape, then taught us how to construct our very own colour film pinhole camera's. I thought he was truly inspirational and some of his work is really interesting(he also has an amazingly obscure sense of humour, he's so deadpan, it's hilarious!) He's been involved in a couple of films and holds seminars/lectures all over the world. He also has a few books, the most well known being 'Moutpiece' which is a series of photographs taken using a pinhole smiley cam from his mouth! Obviously, pinhole photography requires a great deal of skill, particularly when it comes to judging exposure times and so far I haven't produced any stunning results, but it's something I'm actually really keen to get into. Nearing the end of the lecture he demonstrated to the class how to use fill flash guns in conjunction with the pinhole camera's, using my ear as the subject - I'm really excited to get the roll developed now so I can be like ''Hey, look at this photo of my ear that Justin Quinnell took...''

So, I was just wondering who had heard of him and what you thought of his work?
Because I'm a new-ish member I'm unable to post links properly, so just copy and paste, then put a www. in front of this!

It's so far out past "bizarre" there's not even a word for it. Bravo!

salmiakki - Thanks for fixing the link!

Jopsy Daisy - Thanks for the link, definately going to give that one a go! Extra brownie points for individual self research and experimentation...I think so! It's also pretty effective in the results it provides - so it's a best of both kind of thing. I adore the art of pinhole photography but I'm also terribly impatient and not so great at judging exposures/hit and miss.

Brianammy - Pretty much everyone in the lecture cried out ''euuuuuuuuurgh'' when he projected that one! So weird!

JamesA - Again, so weird! Really creepy stuff, Justin showed us his work today. Apparently he's a really nice guy!

I found his work to be interesting. I went ahead and checked out Wayne Belger per JamesA's suggestion, as well. Belger has interesting photos... but the whole camera thing seems excruciatingly contrived.
ETA: Wayne's past jobs are pretty funny, as well.
