You're right coryboehne, Topaz adjust, 2 times, first paint Venice effect and the second was "dramatic", but I softened it a bit.
I like the result, the mood.
As Bear_Music said : "And people, let's not forget that Topaz is more than just aggressively detailed tone mapping; there's a whole other side to it that's soft and smooth like a sweetheart's whisper :-) ".

This was reason for me to join this sc.

Thanks for the explanation, Mambe. Beautiful shot, and the editing is understated and moody. Very nice.

Thank you bohemka because you're right, if we want to learn and to see what Topaz can do for our photos, it's better to explain which effects we have used.

At first I was a bit intimidated because there's a lot of talent here and I'm not at the same level but I'm enjoying and this makes me feel a bit better.

My home pc has died, now have a mac that I got from work but don't have photshop, don't have anything. So I can't use topaz until I get photoshop again. I'm kinda depressed right now cause I was really looking foward to doing this side challenge. Hell can't do any photo work right now so I'm twice as depressed. If and when things change I'll post. Until then I'll enjoy looking at the photos you guys post.

our's crapped out last wk...it has taken quite sometime getting everything loaded and running...had to take one computer back as it had "issues". But I didn't mind that as we REALLY upgraded the processor a whole lot!!! Now it's humming...God love my husband, he really pushed to get it changed so I could get an entry in for the FS...he's such a sweetheart...

so finally have everything loaded and it's all playing nice...(right now)...so here is my first attempt with this SC...

yet another....

really took this to the extreme:

oversaturated, not too over detailed, and pushed the hue. edited solely with topaz.

I ran this through Topaz Adjust twice, spicify and then dramatic.

I normally only use Topaz on urban decay type shots, but this thread has made me go over some of my portraits and try it. Still a little heavy-handed I think.

Ok, big post...

Here's one for those who loved the bedroom, same treatment using Topaz Clean, but more refined I think (even if the HDR has issues :) )

And another using clean, this one is pretty nutzo...

Here's two to compare, I'd be interested in hearing your preference on these..
-denoise
-denoise then clean

Super rich and smooth, like a cigar and cognac.. Topaz clean without edge effects, and some other PP to selectively blur the BG and give some glow to things... Don't know why, but it felt like it needed a border..

Topaz Remask to make the selection, it's a nice tool, the example here is quite poor because I could have made it more precisely but it's really quite nice and easy to use.
