I needed a second beer to decipher your comment!

I don't!!

Only because I don't have one from you...

But if I did, I'd think "thanks!" even if it's wordy and strange. :)

Mine lost a tenth of a point today, and so did my Vintage. I wonder why there are voting patterns like this.

I just want to thank everyone for trying to raise my score, but it's clear I won't be getting the blue. This time.

Wonderful imaginative comments. But where's BVY'S? I'm still treading water and getting fed through a tube.

Oh, dear. I thought I found yours two or three times. Nothing for Virginia Wendy either. I guess it's back to commenting Monday morning...

Enjoying the comments, I'm about half way through myself.

I am doing rather well, though I suspect I'll be lurking just a hair outside HM range in this one. It's still somewhat better than I had hoped for, and considerably better than I had anticipated. I have 3 faves, a wish list, and 17 comments. One of which is from bvy, which is what prompted me to drop this note. He hasn't identified me, however. Which I guess is good. Unless it's bad. In which case it's not. Or something. Put me down now, thanks.

Hugs all around,

R.

I am nowhere near the top, but I am enjoying a bunch of good comments (including one from Brian, and one from PH guy), and a fave. None of my ViewFinders buddies have been able to spot my shot, which is good, I went for something different this time :).

It sounds like you're doing quite well Robert. I only recognized one photographer this time and it wasn't you. There were so many great and creative entries and I immensely enjoyed voting and commenting.

Wish every challenge was a posthumous challenge. Oh wait, it is! Best thing is that there are among my pleasingly long 'short list' of admirable contenders some startling shots that I know must be from folks having their first swim in the posthumous pool. I'd said in a post before the challenge that I was not convinced this challenge was a good idea. How wrong could I be? Congratulations to all. And thank you.

I've made a first-pass on voting, only scoring the ones that strongly piqued my interest, so far (6 or higher given). There's probably about 10-12 more that I'm on the fence about. Eventually, I will likely score many of those with a 6 or higher, possibly bumping up some of the ones I've already given a vote. I will also leave more comments during the course of the week...

You have rated 63 of 132 images (48%) in this challenge.

My entry is still not doing that all that great (5.1810). No faves, but the comments from respected DPCers make it all worthwhile. :)

Yes there most certainly are...whether they are any good is indeed a question of interpretation. :O)

I think many people just enjoy seeing people try out new photographic approaches, trying to be a bit more creative and have fun with their cameras without having to worry about their image being seen as something so depressingly mundane as 'good'. Yuck- who on earth wants to just be seen as 'good' in RayEthier's eyes! I will settle for nothing less than marvelous or atrocious thank you very much Ray! ;)

Ray I am sorry. When I referred to swimming in the posthumous pool I had forgotten how easily, alas how inevitably, you seem to find yourself out of your depth. Here with my best wishes and apologies is a small aid to assist you as you splash about in this challenge.

I didn't enter the shot I had that may have gotten the higher score but the comments have been great and it was the shot I liked the most so the score has not mattered to me at all.

I've spent more time voting on this challenge than any other as each shot requires so much more studying to fully appreciate. I'm still voting and still loving the images. I feel I will be revisisting this challenge long after it's finished.

I don't know about that Paul. Ray has a Lensbaby hidden away in that huge arsenal of his and i'm sure he's jumped at the chance to get outside his comfort zone with it for his first DPC entry in 18 months. Baby steps Ray but a Blue Ribbon could be on its way!
