INFJ....

"Seek meaning and connection in ideas, relationships, and material possessions. Want to understand what motivates people and are insightful about others. Conscientious and committed to their firm values. Develop a clear vision about how best to serve the common good. Organized and decisive in implementing their vision."

Does this really describe me?! :-/

Gosh...I'm so boring...:-(

I'm gonna re-take this test!

INFJ (although the J was only a 6)

After I tried this yesterday, I had my girlfriend do the test as well, but as if she was me. It was interesting to see another persons impression of me.

Mae, I don't read that description (which included more than my excerpt) as being boring at all. Of course that could be because as an INTJ I've got many similar traits and I find life anything but boring. But then maybe others find me boring, which of course is quite a different thing.. :-)

was it that different? I had the same thought -- I want my husband to take the test as me and see what he comes up with.

I see one other INFJ on the list, which is interesting because one of the descriptions put it at 1% of the population. I guess I'm just a weirdo. :) [/q

Does it make me a weirdo too? When does the talent kick in.... you have talent, now I want mine!!

A fellow infj.

P.S. Are we INFJ's or infj's?

According to the chart, the breakdown in a population is roughly like this:

Roughly the same amount of I and E.
Distinctly more S than N.
Roughly the same amount of F and T.
Somewhat more J than P.

Oh, and I forgot to give what I got. I got ISFP. Which, after reading some of the descriptions, isn't quite accurate for me.

ROFL...Oh Penny...that made my day...only a clever "mastermind" could come up with that answer! However, if you fell under the "boring" category, I doubt PuppyBear would endear you so close to his heart! ;-)

Just slightly. My girlfriend thought I was more introverted that I think I am, and feeling rather thinking.

well, i was on a forum and was reading discussions about intj's...seems like, you guys:
think you're always right
want to rule the world, and think you can
think everyone else is stupid, unless they put up a good fight
plan everyting in advance, maybe even make lists
etc etc...sound like you?

FWIW, this is a mischaracterization. INTJ's don't think everybody is stupid, only those who actually are. And as individuals who are not apt to be expressive or particularly vocal unnecessarily, they are only interested in leading if it's apparent that things are currently being managed in an inefficient fashion. Further, INTJ's are very aware of exactly what they do not know.
The way that the descriptions have always explained the planning aspect is always very ridiculous. You don't need to write things out to have considered contingency plans, or to have analyzed outcomes, which is really what INTJ's are prone to doing. If you analyze something, you have to come to a course of action, therefore the plans.
