The picture is taken 4.57am, and if I upload it on an exif viewer on the internet, that is what the exif data says as well.
But if you select it on my computer (in finder, mac if it makes any difference) it says "created yesterday 05.57"

Does anyone know why this is? Why does my computer change the time taken just because it changed its time that night?

I guess whatever happens, the exif will say 4.57am and I won't be DQ:d, but just want to make sure.

5:57 is probably the time you copied the file to your computer. (the time the file was created on your pc, not the time the picture was taken)
As long as the exif is correct, don't worry :)

It is almost 01:00 here... three hours to go - time for a little nap.

I don't know about Macs, but I ran into an interesting variaton on this theme today. I did some shooting from 4:30 to after 5:00 am. The image I wanted to use displayed time taken as "5:00 am" in the information section at the bottom of windows explorer. Good. A flight "between" Denver and Chicago would include both cities. So 5:00 should be ok.

But then I noticed that the information column in windows explorer gave the time as "5:01 am". When I loaded the image into IDimager, the EXIF actually says "5:00:08 am". So my shuter press was too late by eight hundredths of a second! Consequences of being off by such a small amount are well known to Olympic champions, but rather novel for me. Don't know why one place rounds down and one place rounds up. Good lesson to avoid the very edge of the time limit.

Oh well, wasn't the greatest image anyway. Took a good long nap this afternoon to get caught up to usual schedule. Unlikely to try again tomorrow with it being a work day.

About to shoot something for this. What? I have no idea. I'm still asleep.

Umm. I just took some pics. I'll submit. But the time changed here last night and I'm on vacation. I haven't connected the camera to anything yet. Do I need to take these again? The time stamp is 5:22. That's BS.

Did you check the exif? My exif and my computer showed different times.

I just changed settings to allow for DLST, and reshot. Now the pictures say 6 something. I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT FOR THIS?
