Sorry.

[grumpy] After seeing my entry flail around, doing much worse than I expected, I voted kinda grumpy -- I usually vote before seeing my score. I swear I was trying to have an open mind about the entries, but it was hard. I tried to feel the submitter's interpretation and allow for the titular shoehorning that goes on, but many shots just defy acceptance. [/grumpy]

I actually wasn't that severe, but I did give out a bunch of 4's (which is lower than my average vote of 4.96)

If people have an open mind I don't care if a low score is given. Just give a comment to go with the low score.

I usually try to give constructive comments to low votes. Actually, I usually vote on everything right away, refine my scores a few days later, and then do a final run through and add comments towards the end of the voting window.

*nods* Ditto. But hey, it happens, don't worry about it. Although...fixing it would be nice. ;)

I seem to be noticing a little bit of grumpy voting too. I'm guessing that people are being pretty stingy in their definition of "extraordinary." I'm being much more lenient. After all, what's extraordinary is different for different people, and sometimes even seemingly ordinary things in the right situation can be extraordinary!

And extraordinarily grumpy commenting to go along with it..

I've already gotten three extremely rude comments on my picture. What's the deal? I mean, I don't mind if someone dislikes the picture, but when they leave little remarks like "crappy picture" or "stupid, i'm over it," that's just hurtful :(

I have been trying to comment on each picture for the "Extraordinary" challenge. It's going to take me a while since there are so many entries, I don't know if I'll make it or give up. Since I don't look at my own score until I have finished voting, I'm getting antsy to see how I'm doing.

Anyone want to tell me how you voted my shot? It's the Extraordinary one.

I think my pic is just fine, not outstanding mebbe, but better than the 4.2 i am getting. 4.2 is for a 'bad' pic, one that has obvious flaws. I have 2 comments from 133 voters. 'would be better in b&w' and 'great, meets challenge well'. Umm...so why 4.2?

Grumpy voters, yeah that's it.

Remember...I have not voted on your pic yet. Sow shall ye reap or some such think might apply here...LOL
