I thought of this while singing in the shower this morning, actually. The idea is just that you take a photo of any subject but the photo has to be about or relate to either a song title or a line of lyrics from a song (which would be the title of the submission). A simple example is to take a photograph of a yellow submarine (like they are readily available) and give it the title, Yellow Submarine or something like that. Or take a picture of someone playing a tambourine and call it Mr. Tambourine Man. You get the idea.
Lyrics could be used too. A triumphant photo of a winning sports team or player could be called "We are the champions". It might be a good idea to require the artist in the tile too, just for sake of validity. You may also be able to use the meaning behind a song as the premise of your photo, unless that's getting too vague. It would require more openmindedness of the viewer to understand the song, which could be difficult because of wide music tastes. So, that may not work, but the titles and lyrics should.
Anyway, just an idea.

| I actually got this same idea few days ago! This would generate SUCH a diversity of pics, although some would be rather obscure. It would be really interesting! |

This has been suggested a few times, and I think the problem came in when we got into international music. Personally, I'd like to see it happen. I like the idea. But you know there will be people marking shots down cause "i've never heard of that song before". Voters would have to give benefit of the doubt that the song actually exists.
