Hi guys,

After researching on the forum, I've notice a lot of olympus and fuji owners using the Tcon-17. Just want to ask if any of you guys have used or owned other telephoto lens other than the tcon-17? How about the Raynox DCR-1850? Or the Kenko Knt20 (2x)?

I'd like to know your experiences on this lenses. Thanks guys!

I have a 2x for my 602. I forgot the name of the company right now. it's one of those that you can get on ebay for like 50 bux. While it's cool to get the extra reach, you definitely lose a little bit of the sharpness in the shots, especially toward the edges. but it does help, and can get you shots that you otherwise wouldn't get, but you might need some post processing to clean it up.

as for the other brands, i can't speak to their effectiveness. i've heard good things about the Tcon-17, haven't heard of the other 2.

I use the Tcon-17 and I love it. It's true, you do lose a bit of sharpness and on some cameras there can be a bit of vignetting, although I haven't experienced any vignetting on my camera. I think it's well worth having.

For my 602 I have the Raynox DCR-1850. It does have a bit of softness when zoomed in to the full focal length, but I'm still pleased with its preformance. Its come in handy many times.
