No worries, you should be right as rain by Sunday. I went to a play that night - "Angels in America: Perestrokia," I believe - not recommended. (The play was great, but sitting for that length of time given the morning's activity was ill advised.) ;)

just went to the doctor last night for my second post visit. all clear. no more tadpoles swimming free.
my advice to you would be to wear the supporter, i stopped wearing it after a week and started exercising again and i had major pain, i starting wearing again for a few more weeks until the pain went away completely.
again, do not, do not stop early, in fact wear it longer than you need to. You don't want to go through what i did. |

Nothing to it Doc. Had mine done in the morning and went right back to work. Oh yeah, the frozen peas thing... works a lot better if you keep em in the bag. :O)

I have a few dumb questions:
As I understand it, your testes make the sperm, getting snipped leaves your testes intact and and functional in your scrotum, but ties or ties and snips the tubes leading from your testes and out to your penis.
1. I assume the testes don't continually produce sperm, or you'd explode, or do they and it's absorbed, or something else? If you have an orgasm, doesn't that give your testes the message to make more sperm?
2. When you orgasm, does anything come out?
3. Are you still getting the same amount of hormones?
4. What it you run out of glue in the house?

Had mine done a couple of years ago. Not much to it. I was after request able to watch the procedure in a mirror while they did it. A little tender the first few days but went away quickly.
All the colors of the rainbow were present the day after doing it. Should've submitted a pic for a challenge! :) |

ETA: I'm sure DrAchoo will correct me. But AFAIK in layman's terms the tubes they snip only 'activates' the sperm. Sperm is still present like before.

Trollman got it right. The sperm is still produces but has no way to get to the action. They are reabsorbed. Sperm is constantly being turned over in the testes.
Only about 1% of semen is sperm. There's a great fact for your next cocktail party.

hey doc hope your doing this with yr surgeon on a swap for swap basis might save yrself the cash. the local young mothers group here actually rafled a vasectomy here as a fund raiser, and the tickets went like hot cakes so I am told.I(t was donated all costs covered by a local urologist

Most of the liquid portion is formed in the prostate gland. |
