I went to a local wrestling gig and blagged my way in with my camera - and they were really pleased with the results because apparently no one had ever tried shooting without flash before

They have asked me if I will go bak and shoot some pictures of the wrestlers for use on posters etc which I guess means chroma key.

I have a green paper drop which I have never used and some strobes and I have looked through previous chroma key threads and pmd some of the people who seem to be clued up but any further advice on how to light it would be much appreciated.

I think you want to both light the subject, and light the background separately -- preferrably from both sides -- to get rid of any shadows, and to make the background as close to a single tone as possible. Also make sure the subjects aren't wearing anything close to the color of the background.

You could do it on a black backround like I did. Then they can easily cut and paste the photos onto promo posters and such.

Also be very careful to control spill from the background.
