Wow, that was quick... :) Just suggested this last week. Anyway, I expect we're going to see some pretty cool photos.

I imagine they are... consequently I have no idea of what to shoot for a challenge I suggested.... LOL... I may be a bystander myself.

Some possibilities spring immediately to mind that are right in line with the sort of photography you've been doing lately, but they would stretch the bounds of what DPC considers appropriate...

Crossed my mind, but I don't know where I'd get an elephant, a donkey, and a hopeless child :-)

J/K I can read you're mind :-P

So there can be only one bystander or more? Cuz for example on some kind of street event it's hard to capture only one, most likely a crowd

I don't think the number of people will matter all that much. What will be critical is a strong focal point to the image (Not just a picture of a crowd) and a strong connection between the activity and the bystander.

We're having a little discussion in our private thread about whether the action has to be captured in the picture. Would this be DNMC?

I wouldn't vote this down as DNMC, but I am sure some voters would.

I think that there is a clear connection to some off-frame action

Unfortunately, I think you could say this about every image ever entered here ... :-(

For me for a picture like this I would vote it high. It seems to me the action doesn't need to be in the picture when the faces say it all. If it was just a guy standing there or a girl with no real expression that would be something else.

PM me, I'll have a looksie. I won't vote on an entry I've given feedback on.

Kleski, I can look too if you need another opinion.

Well, my entry is in. I am not happy with it, but submitting anyways. Hopefully it doesn't break my streak of 9 entries without a 4. It might though

:( I must have skipped right over the text rule! I did read the rules and just missed that one. I even double checked to see if I could put a border... Bummer. Well now I know for the future. I am so beating myself up over that! shoot!

I pretty much just look at the pictures. I was voting a long time before I even knew the rules of the site and only recently have started entering challanges myself. I know I am pretty distracted a lot I have a 3 yr old pulling on me all the time! so it is easy to do...
