We have a thread about the movie so how about a thread about the book. Who or will not read (and why) "Michael Moore Is A Big Fat Stupid White Man" by David T. Hardy and Jason Clarke? It is now in the bookstores (Borders at least).

One must read and stay informed about all sides of an issue so one can make an informed decision with an election coming up. If I see the movie I will have to read the book. It is all about BALANCE. :)

I probably won't, because "my mind's made up so don't confuse me with the facts."

Also, I don't have the disposable income to knowingly throw any to money-grubbing opportunists. But, to be fair and balanced, I haven't read Al Franken's book either ...

I love to analyze propaganda, but I get mighty tired and worn out with it sometimes ... I'd like to switch to something more real and honest -- perhaps the Enron tapes will be on CD soon; forward by Dick Cheney ...

What did you find to be propaganda in F9/11?
Problem is that MM's propaganda won't have anyone losing their lives...where as the gov't's propaganda and how many dead enlisted men/women do we have now? What's the last count? Or have the media outlets stopped putting those numbers out?

Seems to me that the dummy in the White House has been given everything...what has he earned? Every business venture he went into was funded by others...mainly rich Saudi's because at the time, the president of the US was G. Bush the first, and the saudi's wanted an "in." Even as a businessman, GW has failed miserably...he's not even a good businessman. If you're dumb and rich and have the right connections, then you too can be president.

Yes, those are the most up-to-date figures for American military service personel killed in Iraq. This does not include the number of other coalition troops killed since the war started, and of course, doesn't include the numbers of Iraqi civilians killed. Over 5,000 American military personel injured in Iraq.

Michael Moore had some great and horrific footage of the injuries that American troops were incurring, as well as, those of Iraqi citizens. Images that we aren't seeing here in the US. In addition, Michael Moore listed all of the attempts by the Bush administration to reduce soldiers pay, benefits, etc...

The real strength of Michael Moore's films, and especially F9/11, is that he gets the people in the theaters to relate to what's going on, on a visceral level...a gut level. This film is about everyday people, as much as it's about the corrupt gov't of George W. Bush.
