I would tend to agree only because Don has had very little involvment in the worms after opening this can. He has been conspicuously absent since starting this thread, other than to say that anyone who does not like this idea does not value originality.

How is it POSSIBLE she didn't know that, and her a TEACHER of CHILDREN? How can she be unaware of the incomparable, one-and-only Peewee's Playhouse? My kids saturated me with the silly man. Actually, though, his classic movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure is still fairly amusing to me after all these years.

I watched it about a million times when i was 15-16. I just introduced my kids to that movie a few months ago. They thought he was REALLY bizarre....FUNNY but bizarre

OH look... something else we can disagree about.

I too value originality, but I am not inclined to earnestly believe that there truly are pristine originals wafting about in our environment. It could be argued that originality exits only in the mind of the creator of the art, and if indeed such is the case, then value judgement rests solely with that individual and no one else.

The rest then becomes moot.

Doesn't matter. This thread and others like it will die without constant misunderstanding, intolerance and disagreement. And nobody wants to have that blood on their hands.

Think of Winslow Homer with all those stormy seas paintings.
Now, really. Having seen one stormy (shades of gray, green, blue) wave, we've seen 'em all! Right?

Do you really like Starry Night because you like starry nights?

Heh Heh. ME a TEACHER of CHILDREN? Not on your Chinny-Chin-Chin.

Ol' PeeWee? Yeah, you're right, I actually DID hear of the guy (he did something silly with chocolate once, I think) and yeah, I was pulling collective legs.

And ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' bvy, I am not going to look up "Starry Night" to find out if I like it. If the fog ever lifts over my city, I'll look up and see what starry nights look like, maybe.

And yes, I'm still having way too much fun with this subject.

Probably better let everybody go back to worrying about original copies vs blatant copies.

I was not disagreeing with you, but rather the proposal that had been made, and yes I am fully aware that the quote was made by the OP.

For some reason I had thought I was responding re: Karmat. And for some reason i think she's a teacher. I know you better than that, you're right :-)

It's definitely the same model, wearing the same makeup and yellow fabric. Lighting is a bit different.

I think someone has the date wrong, look at the eyelashes, same makeup, same lashes in the same spots. Impossible to have the eyelashes exactly alike from one day to the next.

Correct. A detail, women probably believe of that men would notice, but they don't.
