Is it allowed to use the transform & perspective tools in Basic.or are they excluded by "You may not distort or stretch your image in any way.

Not allowed. The only thing of that sort you can do is to correct tilt.

That's an ambiguous and potentially misleading statement :-( You can't "correct tilt" in basic, if "tilt" is defined as converging verticals or horizontals, the sort of correction that requires skew or perspective controls. You CAN "correct tilt" by rotating, if by "tilt" you mean an image that isn't leveled up.

Rotation = OK, in any amount, in basic or advanced

Skew or Perspective or Lens Correction adjustments = never OK in basic.

Thanks guys, I have never used Lens Correction Filter had a go and found it quite difficult.
