I already have Photoshop CS4, would it be benificial for me to get Lightroom 3 and Elements 8? Or should I just get either the one or the other,...

If you already have CS4 you should probably look into LR3. What are the things in CS4 are you unsatisfied with and think you need an a different software?

I was thinking of a program for some quick editing. And with this particular issue money is no factor.

why would you want Elements 8 when you have CS4? CS4 is the mac daddy (well actually CS5 is)...I would go straight for the LR3, I've played some in it and it really has quite a bit to offer and would enhance my Elements 8 that I have...the other one I'm really wanting is the WHOLE Topaz pkg...

I would go with LR3, it has some nice improvements over LR2 (getting rid of hi ISO noise is one I've been playing with a lot as well as syncing with Flickr also native tethering depending on your camera)

I have recently been playing is DPP (Digital Photo Professional - the canon program that came with your camera). I love the colors it gives and you can batch process. Tutorials available to download from the internet to get you started. Might be worth giving it a try and see what you think.

LR is great and it is integrated nicely with PS. I do a lot of my editing in LR. I downloaded CS5 but still mostly use LR but the option is nice when I need or want a more detailed edit.

You can DL the trial of LR to see what you think as well.
