What are you shooting?

I went 7D, because I shoot wildlife. And the results of the cropped sensor making my 100-400 a 160-640 makes me like the cropped sensors. :)

However, the 5D sensor is so much smoother that there's little, if any, difference in quality when the FF image is cropped to the APS-C size in post... The 7D does have better burst speed though.

I wrestled with this for a while.... and went with the 7D because I mainly wanted a better low-light focus then the 20D that I went from and the 5D seems marginal over the 20D in that regard (some will argue). I only have a single EFs lens (10-22), and that could have swapped easily for a 17-40 so it's not the FF leap in this case. The focus system is SO much better on the 7D, but I gave up some IQ and cheaper thin DOF.
