Actually, on several occasions the Challenge Description has had appended to it a flag and a note that not adhering to the description is grounds for DQ. So it HAS been done... :-)

But Langdon told me there is no table, only him on his throne and everyone else is equal and will get disk space in value equal to how much we rant?;-)

He was finally there to sit on his throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

This is the most anal, narrow-minded, bigoted piece of challenge interpretation I have heard in a long time. A row of identical, moored sailboats, for example, is not an example of "order" because they are the same? A necessary component of order is "difference"? That's insane...

R.

The row of boats only works if you alphabetize them first.

Don't forget to order by color and size...

Hey-no copying off my posts. Granted you did change it up a bit, but still. :)
**Now I know why I'm not sitting at the popular table - I'm over with the nerds. **

I'd respond to your pithy post, but we, at the cool table, don't associated with nerds! (did you see that STNG episode last night? They were going after the borg!)

At first I was offended - My first thought was to just delete my photos and walk away - then I saw this thread and settled it in my head and walked past... One person's opinion is just that - an opinion - and being an opinion by definition it can be neither right nor wrong.

Even a judge can rule a case with an opinion - and be overturned...

Looking at the OPs entries in the "some time" that she's been here.. even with her vote I'm still well within her top 10 so I can just shake my head in wonder..

I honestly reckon order people we victims of some chaos in her life that stretched to the forums.
She may have some valid points. But don't take what she has to say too seriously.

Edit: probably a little too forced?

Never mind.... It's not worth the effort, no matter how minimal that might be...

Which reminds me, we have a ST exhibition in town - I guess my friends and I will dress up in our uniforms, brush up on our Klingon, and have a swell time.

The respected table is hidden down the back, out of view...so what are you doing up here?

I just got done voting for the Order challenge. I know I am probably going to get hate mail for my comments. If you didn't get one from me, then you actually did something right. Geez - so many shoehorned entries. Are people just really that lazy? If you can't shoot an image FOR the challenge don't enter one!!! It was like most people thought well, it has a pattern or it is in a row of some sort -- so that works. No! It doesn't work! The challenge was not pattern or lines or rows - it was "order."

It seems like every challenge I vote on now there are some that just throw in the old "standards" - colored water in glasses (blah), flowers for any and every theme (ek), landscapes for the sake of throwing a shot into a challenge (boring).

Let's start thinking outside the box people! The submissions this week for this challenge are the worst I have ever voted for on this site and I have been a member for a while. This was just pathetic.

Man... I missed a great show!!!

I sorta wish her name was "Thatchickunderthere" instead so someone could say, "under where?" and we could all snicker at them...

How was this thread not shut down during voting?

Um.....there was only one witch hunting here today.....

As far as the time, entries, & equipment comment went, I was just curious as to what the OP had to offer in the way of work that'd wow us since she basically told us, from the title on, that the images sucked. I was surprised to see that all this vitriol came from someone, though ostensibly from talent and experience, who didn't seem to be sharing it here.

Surely you can distinguish between voicing an opinion and a verbal tonguelashing, roundly lambasting us for our meager efforts, can you not?

Her opinion might differ to your's, so what! get over it! and move on.

So it's not acceptable to respond, according to how you see it?

Interesting.....

Or if they are in color-order of the rainbow.

.. or they are in their right slips at the marina :)

this is an intetesting thread. i actually disagree wth the op. i think the entries for chaos were weak. unlike order with is hard to find and usually, a lot of pic were of messy rooms and desks. you can interperet each how you want and in the end all that matters is if the pic is interesting or not.
