My entry is in - I have been doing poorly in my last 3 challenges, so I hope this does better!

Went out shooting for it this evening. I like getting my shots early in the week, then I have all week to find and tweak the keepers.

What if you interpret the challenge description to be in the present tense?

"Create a photo where the subject is being affected by the weather!"

Like this one for example:

Not to pick on this photo becaus it is good, but the weather is currently happening and he is being affected by it. Would that be nailed for DNMC or borderline??

Or would it have to be a subject photographed when the rain has passed like this?

Comments???

Well I'm in on this one and rectangles. First time in a while that I'll be in 2 challenges at once.

Wow...you can get two 4.xx scores.

Ohh, low blow. I have high hopes for my weathered entry but not for my rectangles entry. We will see! Did you get a weathered entry in yet?

It's bleak and overcast here today.......stopped raining about an hour ago. I'll be looking for some outstanding, wet weathered subjects this afternoon!

Rollover is tonight. Who's ready to shoot down my image as the worst image that they have ever seen. I know I can't wait. I hate getting excited about an image that I think is good.

Surely it can't be that bad, SEG! What makes you think it's so bad?

True, but the poor man appears to be anticipating the worst. Look at the sad little blue icon! Self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyway, many of us have been in the same boat.

I really hope that mine does well...I submitted last night. I'm not expecting a high score but I would like it to break 5.

Exactly. I will tell you ahead of time that my rectangle image will do bad by DPC standards and I know it. I have come to terms with that image doing bad already but I really like my weathered image. That's when a low score bothers me. I've already showed it to someone on here who thought that it would not do great.

I think I'm going to find out how many people go by the challenge title and how many read the description...

I'm in. I have challenged myself to try to enter at least 1 challenge a week (for the last 10 weeks or so) and I'm happy to say my average is really going up (even though I'm not in ribbon territory). The DPL helped me refocus. ; )

I'm not 100% sure I should blame it on the DPL, but DPC in general has improved my photography to the point where I pretty much expect a 5.6-5.7 on any image I enter, and I'm usually shooting for 6-6.5 ...

Certainly not ribbon territory, but I'm really enjoying the process of learning.. As a matter of fact, I'm thinking about getting some nice prints done soon, I think it might be time..
