Although I wasn't shooting for the brown, I knew it wouldn't do well here. I had an entry that would have done mediocre for long exposure, but I happen to like my boat shot and decided that the threat of a poor score wouldn't deter me. I anticipated the critiques I'm getting so it doesn't hurt. I was much more disappointed in my 4.8 in double exposure a few weeks back. :) |

Sorry to hear about your score but congratulations on your attitude. I sometimes enter shots that I know are not going to score well and these shots are usually the one's I like the most. |

Extremely boring when no-one could be bothered to give any comments. And my entry whilst perhaps having little "WOW" factor is a very solid, well executed and composed image that is certainly eye pleasing.

I lost a comment too. It was a new member from L.A. who hadn't built a portfolio yet and hadn't submitted into a challenge. He actually had great constructive criticism and he knew a lot about lighting, gobos, theatrical effects. Seems like he would have been a great addition here if he can shoot as good as his opinions. Maybe he closed his account after making a bunch of comments and then they all got pulled. Is that possible.

Actually he sounded to me like he's heard too much critique from a photography teacher himself and learned those phrases, I'd like to see him upload some photos and see if he can stand up to what he tells everyone else.
Don't get me wrong I don't want to put someone down for commenting but constructive criticism is one thing and what he gave me was another. I'm glad his comment is gone from my boats entry. |
