A few changes.. I'll try to release an interview every few days or so. This way it will give people a chance to mull over each one.

There is a bit of a delay at the moment, we are trying to change the format to html, so it will be a (lot) prettier. Thanks to EddyG for the help. Watch this space, i'll keep updating this.

Yes, I do interviews on request! Just email me with who you think should be interviewed.

This is the current interview schedule.

2 people I'd like to see interviewed and I don't see them here, are JPR and labuda Tho I haven't seen JPR around lately and he's not a member anymore, I think the labuda interview would be verry interesting to read. Anyways it's a good thing you do this.

He just added three favorites - so he's definitely still around. :)

The interviews are really fine - gives us a chance to 'know' people and also to look at work we might otherwise have missed. I really appreciate the time and energy expended by all. My hope is to see one with JJBeguin who is my idol and appears to be the favorite of most.

so I am curious as to how you pick the people you interview...

By Ribbon Winners?

No, I try to pick people who I think can give a good insight for different techniques. I also try to pick active people, and have at least 20 challenges under their belt.
Theodor hasnt won any ribbons, but still has some great work. There are others in the list so far that haven't won any ribbons.
I also do requests, and I've had a few so far. If you want to see someone interviewed, you can post on this thread or email me.

That's a verry good thing, I belive that wining a ribbon, the way this site is built, with no professional jury, can mean many things but not necesary that you are a good photographer. It's more like a lottery thing to me. Verry good choice for Mehmet, his work is amazing even if he didn't won the lottery yet.

This is so true... just look at me. I won the lottery on my second challenge and haven't even been close since!

BTW, I love the interviews... it's great to see into the minds of these wonderful photographers and even better to see what equipment they like to use.

I think KevinRiggs would be a good interview. He seems to have a nice mix of sports and portrait photography.

Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen - I truly love reading these interviews.

Edit: Can we get a seperate forum topic just for the actual interview so they are easy to find without having to do a search? Edit Again: Just saw another thread on this topic and it's being discussed.....

I don't have idols, but I know that outside of having something to say, he knows to say it well. I second Amy's suggestion.

This is such a great feature! I know it is time consuming, so I'd like to say thanks for those who are taking the time to make this happen. I look forward to reading each one.

responding to zeuszen: idol was a lazy word, I agree, but how to sum up the breadth and scope of the man's work and pay due respect without writing whole paragraphs
it is Anne, by the way
