If I use a portrait of my twins daughters which are not identical, would it score low?

I wouldn't score it low. It's two similar things, and to me, to girls about the same age area pretty similar.

I agree, I looked at the previous photos and that would be almost "normal" to see. I spent the afternoon looking around my flat for two things to photograph. Was a nice waste of time!:)

I had to start over today... as my previous entry wasnt up to par. and the "item" I was wasnt shootable anymore LOL so we will see how this pans out... I need an ego boost... so Im hoping for atleast a 5 LOL... HDR is killing my ego.

I would not take any points off. I would score it on the photo's merits.

First challenge:

Anything above a 5 is GREAT.
4-5 is good too for a first try.
3 and below and you likely entered a bad "snapshot". But you can learn from it.

If you get a 6 or above...cherish it b/c they are hard to come by !

Take some advice from another newbie! If you concentrate soley on the score you will drive yourself crazy and depress yourself. Focus on advancing your personal best and focus on learning as much as you can from the other entries and from the comments that you recieve!... I know its hard (I hit update way to often) but it will make it easier to get thru the first few! Promise!
