My next set. Tonight, it was VERY windy outside and light was dim. I tried to shoot some insects. No one wanted to stand still. Don't they realize my DOF is not very wide!?
Taking a slight break for a day or two. Lots going on with the family.

Found a dragonfly to pester today. Some were shot with SB900+Orbis, some not. All handheld.

Day 18
I have become obsessed with finding new and different bugs. At this point I have a nice-sized stash of images which could get me through any number of rainy days, but I still go out carefully combing through leaves every day in case I can find even more new and exciting bugs. Perhaps not everyone's definition of exciting but I'm having a blast! |

and
Neither of these is good, but better than some of my other tries. No idea what these little critters are but their vision is excellent--they see me coming from far off. It's never cold enough here to slow them down, so I just shoot like mad.

Well you did a great job. One's a cricket and the other's a fly... Or did you want more than that? Jejeje™

I'll add my info. One's a big bug, the other is a little bug.

I 'll be content with "bugs." Their variety is amazing. I would never notice them if it weren't for my interest in flowers. It's a strange new idea to try to include a bug in my flower pic! Thanks for the comments! |

I'm "on the road," so I can only do minimal processing with IrfanView ...
