I am starting to hate these things. I will NEVER repeat NEVER submit a flower pic unless the frickin challenge is "Flower" or "My favourite Flower".
Nor will I ever "twist" a shot into a challenge with an imaginitive "title" which isn't a title but an excuse to submit a picture I happened to get a lucky shot on.
Fuzzy animals, frogs and flowers that have nothing to do with the challenge will receive the appropriate score.

Whew...there. Where's the tylenol?

Amen. Except I am a closet flower lover!

I agree, flowers and fuzzy animals or anything for that matter should only be entered if the picture can stand on it's own to meet the challenge. However, I do like fuzzy, cute etc.

Maybe we should have a fuzzy animals, frogs, and flowers challenge so we could get it out of our systems for a while! ;o) LOL

In all seriousness, I do actually score a picture on its merits. It may be a slightly different scale in the case of flowers, etc., in that we do see so many and good ones, it really has to be a "stand out". But in that case, if something has risen so high above all the others of its kind, I almost am even more impressed. Can we have a Rats Challenge? I have three adorable pet rats I would love to dazzle you with!! lol

(My personal prejudice: Bugs & insects! I try to be fair, but I hate them!)

Please say that part applies to those same kind of people pics too and the "appropriate voting" criteria.

BTW rats ARE cool.

Alright friends, I happen to LOVE pictures of fuzzy, hoppy, cute and floral! Those are my favorite subjects to photograph & look at. So, I think if someone who's hobby is photographing fuzzy wants to submit fuzzy for every single challege, that's fine with me as long as it fits the challenge. If it's sports (there should be a baseball retreival or frizbee or something in the animal's mouth). If it's candle light dinner, there should be cat food in a crystal dish with a candle near by! Seriously, I am fine with seeing fuzzy ALL the time! :)

I am sorry that some of you are sick of it. But for those who aren't, thank you. I happen to live in Downtown LA, have a husband in school & working (hardly see him) and haven't made many friends here yet. I have 5 cats!!! So, what do I photograph? Cats! I have come up with other things you'll see if you visit my portfolio, but I'd be happy as a pet photographer, photographing fuzzy all day long!

Okay, there's my 2.5 cents.
:) Arie
