I couldn't get any DPCers to go with me on my Utah excursion -- hmmm, do I hear violins? --- But I had a very nice time anyway. I haven't made any of my photos available as prints yet, I'm still trying to decide which ones, if any, to post here. Anyway, if you at all interested, please take a look. Seattle to Bryce Canyon and Back

BTW, you can ignore the family stuff :)

Breathtaking scenery and you've captured the colors really well! The panoramas are excellent and certainly have a feeling of vastness to them. I also liked the storm fields, and the salt flat shots looked great!

Looks like you had a very good time!

Thanks Moodville. I did have a good time. It was great because my 15 y/o nephew went with me to Bryce and used my film SLR. He really got excited about photography on that trip -- he didn't mind that I got him up at 5:00 a.m. two mornings in a row to catch the sunrise.

Beautiful photos. What a contrast between the desert and the snow! I love the photo of the hill with the lone tree...I think it is my favorite! :o)

My favorite from your road trip is the landscape with the farm and irrigation system, also Bryce Canyon is amazing and your shots there are wonderful. Your foto and comment of your "historic" accomodations is funny. I especially like all your skyviews. Really enjoyable site and thanks for showing.

Why? =] I love this picture of your niece Erica. And the pictures of Bryce are terrific... another place to add to my (long) list of places to go!

Thank you! I really enjoyed some interesting weather on my trip. Before I was a fanatic for photography, I wouldn't have appreciated it.

I think Erica will enjoy your comment. Even though it was a very misty morning and there wasn't the colorful sunrise I expected, I think the backdrop for my niece's photo was great. THanks!

Thanks Kylie. I lived in Utah all my life except for the last 15 years and this was my first trip to Bryce Canyon. Shame on me :)

And, thank you everybody else for you kind words. I have an idea now of the photos I will add to my DPC Portfolio.

Some great pictures! Now thats the best place to see cactus! Enjoyed seeing the cactus with a different bloom on them! My cactus are in a residential yard, they dont have that feel of the dessert, and they only bloom yellow!

Thanks Tracy. I enjoyed the cactus too. I especially liked the terracotta colored dirt they were growing in.
