I have to edit a few photos which I will be submitting to Look Look Magazine, but they require 300 DPI files. Not exactly sure how to go about doing this... I tried the search tool, but came up with nothing. Anyone out there that can help this poor sap get into a magazine?!

First thing you probably want to determine is how large the images are going to be. This will tell you how many pixels you'll need in each dimension. H x 300, W x 300. This will give you an image of size H x W at 300 dpi.

Check this tutorial in case you have to resample any of your images.

I would imagine the drebel took 300dpi images to start with. Depending on how much you crop and how big they want it, you should be fine without needing to do much resampling.

cpanaioti is right.

However, DPI is all in your head and on paper - there is no "inch" only "dots." They want 300dpi, it's up to them how big to print it.

best of luck.
