| Well I finally took the leap from the standard version to the pro but now I have no idea what to do. I suppose I will email them tomorrow as it's late here. But how do I go about putting MY pricing on there, things about me, my own fonts, ect? I'm so lost. It's pathetic that I can take pictures, edit them without a problem, but I can't set up my own website. Help! |

| Yes I just found them! I just want to crawl in bed but now that I've paid for this thing I want it fixed before I go to bed! It's bugging me. I had no idea it would be THIS complicated. |

Your prices are adjusted by adding photos to a gallery then viewing that gallery and clicking the "tools" button then under the "this gallery" section, click on the "set prices" to adjust the prices of all the images.
To adjust your font and stuff like that you will have to do that by editing/adding the information to your css box.
Add this to your CSS and see if you like the font. (this is the font on my site)
body {
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font: 70% georgia, lucida grande, lucida sans unicode, trebuchet ms, arial,helvetica,sans-serif;
color: #FAB277; //change your font color here.
}

I'm a pro user. To add prices you will go to the gallery in question.
Go to tools
This Gallery
Set prices.
You will see the default prices to the left of each "size" photo. You will have a spot to put in a price of your own on the right. The difference in these two prices is your profit...minus a small percentage for Smugmug.
You will have to fill in every blank price with YOUR price or $0.00. If you don't put a price or $0.00, then customers or the casual visitor can buy your photo at the low default price ! The $0.00 designates that the photo is not for sale.
So if you want to only sell 4x6 and 5x7, you would put a price in those two blanks and $0.00 in all others.
You can also set prices for downloads.
It is not as hard as it seems. Once you have all your prices in one gallery, you can simply tag future galleries to use the price structure of other galleries.
I turned pro about a month ago and have sold $100 + from the site. I had a paid gig and this is where I sold the prints. All customers were happy with the prints and shipping service !

| It's really not that bad and well worth the fee... I'm not going to say what to do, because others have done that and done it well. Work at it and start making $$$$$ |

Well the problem is I'm not wanting to set prices for different galleries. The galleries are my examples of work. I want a page for people to see my prices on- so I am guessing I have to build that page in photoshop or something?
I want my home page to look profressional, not like the standard smugmug page- right now I have a banner which looks fine, but my bio underneath does not look good there- it's in a box that I can't seem to get rid of.
And I want a contact page-somewhere people can go with all my contact information.
I don't understand why I can't just do those few things and have it look that way lol. I see plenty of websites just like the above, but for some reason can't seem to figure out how to do it myself. Of course if I had more than 10 minutes a time to sit down and actually figure it out it might help. 2 children doesn't warrant me that kind of time. |

It's easy to customize the pages. You can use their simple customization, or the complete version. Check out my page, and see if you like that. If so, I can help you do something similar quickly. If you look at mine too, I have different banners for different areas of the site. One for the main page, and one for the Theatre work, and yet another one for my personal pages. You control those via the CSS box.
I have a pro site but I am pretty sure you can do the same with power. Actually, I don't like the way they do pricing in any case...I hate that I can't control the shopping cart for selling landscapes...it's really oriented towards event photography, where the end user would want a large choice of products and may even want to crop. You don't sell landscapes and art that way. I don't have a good solution to that yet...I've seen people add their own paypal cart, but the examples are kludgy.
