thanks for the suggestions.

Sonia, I could find the umbrella hat in only one or 2 places on the web, I shuold get it in a few days. I will let you know. I was proud of the idea even if I will probably lok stupid ;-) Umbrella hat

Jr,Yeap I am in Us I will check these gloves to see how they are.

John, I will try to do something like that as well with some accessories .. I was just concern in that case about my camera flying :-( .. actually .. just thought that in that case int should be on a second tripod otherwise it would generate too much vibrations.

Anyone has already done it ?

Thin gloves that will keep your hands warm and won't let your camera slip...football - receiver gloves. I'm not sure if you are from America or not, so I don't know how hard they'd be for you to come by but here in America they have them at most sporting good stores.

Recent suggestion I saw was to use a chamois cloth to cover the camera/ clean/wipe the lens on each shot.

The umbrella hat is an excellent idea. I think I will order one for myself.

if you really want to go all-weather with your camera, lionel,

you can see if there are any water proof housings available.

that would be the ultimate solution.

Lionel, I have seen some fairly ingenious 'mounts' that allow you to mount an umbrella to your tripod. I have actually thought about building one of these myself at some point... I believe it would be best to NOT work with the camera using gloves that could be wet...

I am been fighting with cold and rain recently. How to protect from the rain and cold while taking pictures ?
I have bought Mitaines (gloves without the end of the fingers but that can still be covered by an etra piece), I bought a 'Umbrella hat' (I should get it soon) for the light rain .. do you guys have any solutions ? WOuld you know about thin gloves that would not be slippery and risk let the camera fall ?
Lionel
