Glad to meet everyone. i really am surprised at the range of our abilities, ages, and locations. A very diverse group.

I was involved in the first League. All of us were over 62 years of age! So. . .this is a change.

As I did then I do now. Before we start, I preface with: Please take all my comments in the spirit they are intended- to be positive and helpful. Although I realize that sometimes in the excitement of competition or speaking too quickly or old fingers that can't find the right keys or words, my comments may come across in the wrong way. They are never written with the intent at being negative. Short responses in threads sometimes don't convey our true meaning.

Thanks everyone, it's great to be here! I am fairly new to DP and to challenges but I'll make up for my inexperience by working hard

Other news, and VERY GOOD NEWS...

Langdon posted in the DPL2 thread that he will force feed the remaining teams not finalized tonight so that all 48 teams will be able to participate... SO... We are good to go and there is no reason to worry...

Also, I chose Ozshadow's 2nd image. Klio thanks for your images too, I chose it because it was the one image that Kliopatra and Cuttooth agreed they liked and because the subject of it (one of those funky electro balls), was the subject of my Fine Arts shot.. So I felt it fit the team name :)

Lastly, This is my first DPL league, and I know for many if not most, it is their first too... Be that as it may, lets all learn and grow together... I encourage everyone to read these two links if you haven't already DPL FAQ and DPL rules After the rollover tonight, we can all migrate to our private thread. In the DPL rules, it states that we can discuss our challenge entries there before entering, so long as, no one edits a photo that doesn't belong to them... This is going to be a great opportunity to get FEEDBACK on your entry before the challenge. If you have any issues or questions, by all means P.M. me, and I'll do whatever I can to help you... So with that said, good luck everyone, and lets shake this place up a bit :)

I like 3 and 4 the best, but they all look great. I am at work at the moment, but when I get home, I'll add one... Anyone else have a preference?

I like the team name visual communication really express art as you saying so I'll work on the logo based on that name, if you decide to change it let me know, as you know I'm registered not a member so I can't upload any thing but the challenge submission but I'll upload the logo to a site and add the link here so that everyone could see it, will work on it this evening.

I'm flexible on the team name, if someone has something better... I just typed in Fine Art something or other into google, and the first hit was visual communication... So I went with that... At this point, it may be easiest just to keep the current name, but I'm open to suggestions... I love the idea of a team logo, and it sounds like you have the skills so by all means, devise us something cool :) I really hope we get to 48 teams, we have 9 members now in our team and one final invite out upon request... So it looks like we will have a full 10...

I hope it's not silly for me to peek in here, but something I also did was contacted the people I sent invites to personally, as well. Sent them a PM through the site. Double effort :D
