www.prophotorental.com is great. They carry Olympus, Nikon and Canon bodies, lenses and flashes.

Well since Google let's you set the target for your ads, they might just have their demographic dialed down to: "Only show our ads to Art... we really want him to rent from us"

Be glad you're getting such personalized service!

I use PhotoRentalSource.com, but it is convenient to me as they are local to Houston and I can pick the lenses up directly. Most of their business is shipping lenses, but I can't comment on that. They are very accommodating to local renters.

Appreciate all the helpful words and links. Gives me a few sites to look into.

There prices look pretty good too, mind you I have never rented a lens, but would part with that sort of money for rental

Oddly enough: www.LensRentals.com - I have used them quite a few times over the past 3+ years and they are awesome to work with. They have never been out of stock on something I needed and you can reserve in advance and more often than not, they have shipped the lens to me a couple days early at no extra cost.

I just used them for our trip to NYC and they are awesome. No deposit either. Outstanding service! Plus they sell used equipment as well.

That's who I've always rented from when I rented. Very easy to work with.

NVPhoto has a biz that rents. I haven't personally used it but I was going to. He replied quickly to my questions and seemed pretty friendly. If I remember correctly, he had some specials for DPC people too, but it was awhile ago that I asked him. Here's the rental site.

What good sites are there for Lens Rentals?
I'm really wanting to get a macro lens for the typical bugs/flowers crap, and a few others, but I'd like to be able to rent and play with the lens prior to buying.

any recommendations would be great.

BorrowLenses.com is the only one I currently have bookmarked.
