[quote=ErikV] Day 31 -- looks like we made it without insulting any of our models! (Or at least I hope we did.)

Thanks for coming up with the idea. I think all the participants enjoyed the experience and I'm sure we all learned at least something. We can all keep practicing now until you launch the next one in a few month's time!

Cheers, David

Day 31 -- looks like we made it without insulting any of our models! (Or at least I hope we did.)

Anyway, I want to sincerely thank everyone who participated -- whether you entered only a single photo or a single comment or whether you were so dedicated that you posted 31 photos and/or commented on everything, this really was a group effort. I was amazed by the depth and breadth of what was posted here during the challenge. I learned a lot from the comments I got on my own entries but even more from what other people posted here -- it certainly opened my eyes to many possibilities and gave me some new goals to work on. I really enjoyed seeing everyone's work, it really enriched my life. I love the fact that I got to know many of you better, both through your entries and your comments -- plus I feel that I got to know your family, friends, acquaintances, model mayhem models, and pets. But most of all I had a lot of fun, and this is really what side challenges are all about.

All the best.

Erik

Hi, I just dropped in to say how much I have enjoyed seeing everyone's work in this thread this month.
This is my son's pal Bobby, who came over for breakfast. He had been taking the transmission out of his work truck earlier in the morning, so he's a bit grimy.
Light from 2 windows, existing light. The oddball lens is a 1950's theatre projector lens, probably for a drive in theatre, since it is 120mm.
PP light touch up to color balance, and brighten a bit.

Oh crap..today is the last day and I posted a photo that I was only concerned about the background. Let me at least put a good photo in (or at least what I'm hoping is a good photo).

A photo similar to this got killed in a challenge. The subject matter may not be great for many, but that's not my biggest concern. I'm looking to see how the background meshes with the photo.
