there are some very unkind people out there unfortunately...hopefully they all balance out
even in my top scoring picture  I have 1's and 3's...go figure... |

That person must not have voted on my image. Oh well. A 6+ is all I really ever try for so I am pleased with the ending. Would have liked to not see a drop in the last hour but like I said, I hit my goal mark so let the party begin.

I feel my score might end up that way.
I think most voters voted on a curve this challenge. Since there were so many outstanding over-the-top photos, mine is sinking into oblivion. |

I consider anything above a 5.5 to be doing well. The higher you go, the more the contest is about broad appeal and wow-factor than simply having a good shot. (IMO) If you look at the voting breakdown after the challenge ends, you can often get a good feel for it. There are some members who are sucking if they do a 5.5, but for many of us, it is the entrance to the happy-zone. |
