I've got three of these and I'm very satisfied with them. I've used mine for several years now without any problems. Highly recommended.

I have one that I got from Alien Bee's It it has an eleven lb counter weight with universal mount, it works quite well, but requires a heavy duty stand. I believe it was around 80-90 dollars. Have a look at their website.

i'm using a microphone stand from my son's old band equipment. also those drum parts are great, like the cymbal stands
