www.googlewave.com

This looks fantastic! It launches today but you need an invite to join (like Gmail a few years back).

I signed up months ago but wasn't lucky enough to receive an invite from Google. I don't suppose anyone here got one and would be willing to invite me would they? :)

edit: Still no email :(

Yeah, I signed up months ago - no sign of an invite though...

It looks great, hope it lives up to the hype.

Oh, apparently the invites aren't being sent out by Google until 4pm BST, and each user then gets 5 to send... so thats in about 2hrs 40m :) Here's hoping!

That's what everyone said about instant messaging. Google Wave is simply instant messaging on steriods. This is something that Microsoft Communicator (for corporations) has had for a while.

Having said that, I would love to try it out. So, if any of you have any invites burning a hole in your pocket, just send one my way, will ya?? :D

I agree.. This is going to change email completely. I don't think it will be over night, but I'm excited to jump on board.

Well, I've now got Google Wave and only one person I know has it too. Which makes for very boring conversations, since she's ignoring me. *sigh*

Anyone else get an account yet? Once I've got invites to give I'll be back (I have a couple of friends from other places that come first though).

anybody get an invite i'd love one!

I was given an account when it was in developer preview. I couldn't find any use for Google Wave though. Why would I want to watch someone compose a message in real time? Seems kind of ridiculous now that I think about it.

Members should post invites and here and do it first come first served

I have a few invites left. PM me your email addy.

ETA: Include your email address in your PM, I need an email address to send the invite to. And I suspect you'll need to create a google account anyway, so if you already have a gmail address, use that one.

All gone.

So if another google waver wants to take up the invites baton in this thread, feel free.
