thankyou everyone for such a fantastic side challenge ..
its been one of my favs, and i've been in a few .. !! ..
i've really enjoyed seeing everyone's animals and hearing all the great stories ..
especially loved the ones where ppl have rescued animals from a dodgy environment ..
when you consider all the pain and suffering in this world, especially that done to innocent creatures whether animal or human, reading about the other side of the coin is heartwarmning .. :)

.... ....

Poor Coco the rescued toy poodle got over the last of her infections just recently. The medicine for the ear infection got all over her ears, even on top of her head, making her look quite bedraggled. She fits quite nicely into the kitchen sink for a shampoo. I used her favorite toy, the green ball, to hold her attention for these snapshots. The green ball is about the size of a golf ball & she can barely open her mouth wide enough to bite it & make it squeak. She is 3 years old but somehow she has the look & personality of a puppy, so I can't help but wonder how long she will live. I've got her to come when I call her name by using her name to feed her, & I've taught her to remain seated while waiting for food, or a treat, or the leash. Progress. She still hopes & dreams to kill the cat, we're working on that & in the meantime I've fixed up a panic room for the cat. I appologize for the snampshot quality of these, I'm still working out how to get a good portrait of this zippy little dog. I'll catch up on comments today.
