I think that the demot has stronger shots and more thought put into it than the mot posters, which half of them are not posters.

I entered DeMo, voting DeMo for the comic relief. Took a quick look in the other challenge & fell into a sugar coma.

I'm voting just like this. And haven't ventured to the motivational side, preferring the wicked humor on the demotivation challenge.

And not necessarily in that order. There were a couple that made me LOL, even thought they were probably 'rip-offs'. A pretty enjoyable set. The motivating challenge OTOH...sickly sweet! :)

If thats the case I guess the De-Motivation worked! If they were perfect, would we all quit the site?

One or two of the motivational entries were so bleak and bitter that I think they must have been cross posted.

I'm in a quandary about how to vote the De-Motivational challenge. I have laughed at a lot of posters this week and was not surprised to find a lot of entries similar to ones that exist, some with using the well crafted and hilarious text with new images, and a few using both the text and the exact setup from other's work.

So the question is, in something like this challenge where humor is so much of what makes an image work, how are you scoring it? Is a comic who repeats Jerry Seinfeld's routine from five years ago a better comic than one who's material isn't as funny, but you have not heard it before? If you have never heard of Seinfeld it won't matter, but if you have, do you vote on execution or is originality of concept key in a challenge where it is all about making fun of cliches?

Am pretty sure you should vote as you feel rather than how somebody else suggests? I'm over 100 votes now and still getting big swings in the vote, probably caused by the fact that yes, my shot is a 'rip off' so am most likely getting a lower vote from people that have seen it before and a higher vote from those that have not (and think I'm inspired lol) however, that cannot be proven. That said I'm treating this as any other challenge and voting on how I feel about the image and have voted a 'ripped off' image higher than one that was simliar (but not executed as well) as well as giving my highest score to a poster I've not seen before.

Enjoy the images and vote as you see fit :)

I'm changing the name of this site in my bookmarks folder to "Sunset over Rocky Shore Challenge".

Well I'm in for Motivational... I feel like I say this every single challenge, but I really learned allot. First and foremost, I have never entered text in photoshop, so I had to pull up some tutorials and actually read ( You know how we men are with instructions...LOL) My photo was spur of the moment, so I don't think it will do well, but the important thing is that I like it, and I feel that I was able to convey the vision I had for it in my shot. Sooo, while I'm feeling like I may end up with a sub-5 shot, I got allot out of taking the shot, and that's what's most important. Well, good night and good luck

After 3 subtitle changes to make it fit the shot, I've finally got it --- I think. Sometimes when you rack your brain too hard trying to come up with something witty, it just falls flat. With 45 minutes to go, the subtitle just now came to me without any effort - just like a lightbulb turned on. Funny how that works out.

I've entered Motivational.
I tried a demotivational but it didn't quite work.
So I entered the motivational one, and then scrapped what I was planning to enter and did something completely diffrent...I guess we'll see how it goes.

I'm in demotivational. Don't know what to expect, but had fun with this one.

I feel left out too not having a challenge entry since Green II. I have one ready for the de-motivational that I first thought was very good but after looking at the links below I feel it will be average (not much comedy) at best but oh well. One more hour before the update button can be used again!

Okies I have been Motivated enough to not worry about being Demotivated by the votes that will be coming from the Demotivated people in the Motivated challenge.

Are you Motivated...or have I Demotivated you??????

I can't wait. Even if the photos aren't perfect, I think the de-motivational expressions are going to be hilarious.

Ha.not this time around. Anyone care to give me advice on two edits. Of course you will not be able to vote on it.

I'm worried about mine. I was done with it the second day of the challenge. That never happens--everything is always last minute. If (or when) I score low--I guess I can blame it on that!!

But, whenever things seem insurmountable, I always think of this wonderful poster:
