The general British public are a bunch of helpless sheep, they just swallow when told. As for the show, it used to be great, funny, sad, wonderful, but now it is a game show, totally staged and as stated before a complete set up. I can imagine they already know the winner.
The good news though is that is does give airtime to certain performers who would normally not receive it so kudos for that.
good entertainment but try not to take it too seriously. My money is on Susan. The young guy already has his career sorted Im sure, after his show I will guess a few of the big record companies made enquiries.

Oh dont get me wrong, I think susan boyle is a complete raw undiscovered talent and I hope she takes the top prize - but the whole thing about Britains got Talent is the way it is portrayed as a amateurish production, I mean, it must take millions to put this show on, but they still insist on having the performer give the nod to Ant & Dec offstage when they want their music played, who in turn give the nod to a stagehand who then presses play.. I am sure they have a sound booth where the production team hang out with the facilities to press play without the need of being given the nod.The whole thing is becoming very contrived. |
It's contrived, it's forumlaic, and it apparently works. Things like Susan are a breath of fresh air in that world, but yeah, it's a major production. I'm quite sure the guy they show pressing "play" doesn't actually control anything at that point - it's all done just for show. It is, after all, a show. :-)
As for Shaheen, he's a young boy. He's from Wales (I think it was.) |

Is this Shaheen Jafargholi a man. I asked because Shaheen is usually a female name. Very unusual to name a guy shaheen. I never met a man with this name so far.

| My vote is still with Susan. Shaheen Jafargholi ("the contender") is good, but has already done some acting (beyond the commercials his mother mentions), probably has an agent, and has a decent chance of some measure of success without the show. That is, if his singing voice doesn't crash and burn when he hits puberty in the next year or two. It sounded to me like his mother was trying to downplay his professional status. |

| exactly simms, we dont get the show here in nz, but ive been watching on utube. ive lost respect for the show now, it was so scripted |

This was annoying, because he started singing "Valerie" which was so-so - then simon stopped him and said "don't you have anything else" and oh my, he just so happened to have that MJ track handy... why didn't Simon just buzz him out like he does with all the other average singers.. oh yeah, because his notes said "Sings MJ really well, but not so hot with the Amy Winehouse song"... just like he knew Susan Boyle was something to watch out for.. I know that the acts have to go through 2 or 3 rounds before even making it to the judges - the entertainer we had at my daughters birthday party has made it through to the second round and he said he saw 2 panels of nobodies before he performed in front of Simon - I haven't seen him on there yet but he does some sort of `torch dance` performance..

Ah yes, they was from the singing family - they got through the first round, but only on account of their son... see how they fair in the next rounds and yes, defintely something in it I reckon if they make the final. |

I haven't actually seen much of the show but apparently the singer at this wedding I shot recently was on it.
Apparently her son was very good but her not so much!
Anyone think there's money in these shots?!

Someone showed me the dance group Flawless the other day they have got to be contenders too, they were AMAZING! Check it out here

I'm 62 and my daughter is now 23. I know for a fact that I will never be a grandpa. How do I know you ask... well, I showed my daughter some videos of herself when she was a child and she has now determined that she never wants children... EVER. :O)
