Yup - you got it Pontiac... it was sitting on top of paper towel... I noticed the same and though I use thin white fabric next time.

I took the shot below of my wifes new camera earlier today on top of white paper (much better). This photo does have a couple of dirty top corners though that I could easily clean up but noticed after I uploaded.

Yup, the edges or softness of the tissue isnt as evident in the camera shot, although you can see the table/bookcase in the reflection on the chrome :P

Well done. Nice clean image. The white BG really makes it pop. Custom white balance or Photoshop or both?

Auto white balance but aimed light towards background to overexpose it. Had to adjust some brightness/contrast to make the paper towel texture disappear.

The white background part is good! But the bottom of the base looks funky, was it on a soft cloth or something? Normally you see the hard, 'clean' edges.

Good job. I'm a big job of pure white backgrounds. Makes for a very clean shot. Thanks for sharing.

Yippee - finally. I have been struggling for the better part of the day to master the white background I see in some of our challenges and in product catalogs.

The 'raster' scheme on the top half of the phone may have suffered a bit from ecxessive contrast but not too bad... If you see anything that should have been done differently (probably a few things) I would appreciate comments.
