who are the voters? it's all of us, you and me. if you think it is time for a paradigm shift in the voting pattern, then stop rewarding those photos you mentioned?

Why would you assume I reward that which I mentioned?
The point I was trying to make is that I will do as I please and not go along with the crowd regardless of what scores highly.

sorry i didnt mean to say YOU as in you, but anyone reading the thread.
too often we say "the voters" as if they are a completely different bunch of people when the voters are exactly all of us here.

Hey--if the 114 entry count holds, I will finish no worse than 113 places behind you--a new Personal Best for me!!

Seriously--glad you are in, look forward to seeing it. :-)

LOL.....just don't expect too much. I will be happy to hit the 50% percentile.

Im with you guys. No high expectations here. I like it and I guess that is what matters. I liked the one I put in at first to but I have a dreaded feeling no one else will get it. So this one I like and others should get. Hahaaha. We will see tomorrow but I wont be up looking for the first set of scores.

Ya--I don't expect much from the Transparency entry, but I am kinda excited about my FS entry. Once the scores start tallying, that could change. :-)

Yeah, I'm in too. Ask me about this time tomorrow if I'm excited about it.

Nope, that's spot editing and not legal. Sorry!

Im a bit nervous about my entry. Luck had it that I came across the transparency on the day I shot. I chose my favorite shot of the day but I am not sure it shows the transparency as much as it does in the more boring shots. It is my favorite tho so that is what I am entering and I guess its to bad if the viewers dont like it. Hahahaha. But I am going to change my predicting from a 6 to a 5 on this one and hope it doesnt hit the 4's. Hahaaaha.

Yeh nevermind what I said. I just changed mine. Hahaah. I guess I will try to please the viewers and myself with this choice. I had a better idea in mind but I dont have a model yet and I hope that changes pretty soon.

I'm in too! It was fun and I hope some folks get some enjoyment from both participating and viewing. I know I'm looking forward to what you all came up with.

My entry is "in". I found this to be a very difficult challenge. Reflections, distortions, diffraction of light and "focus on subject" problems made this challenge very interesting and educational. No windows for me. Too easy!

This challenge incited a renewed appreciation for polarizer filters for me. I had fun and got really lucky, I wasn't even shooting for the challenge and came home and realized my entry fit really well. I am interested to hear some feedback on the shot.

Honestly, I'm not sure what the point would be of entering this challenge on that premise. Once could argue all that, but why would one? One would lose.

Just put some intersting transparency (other than the air and the lens) between your camera and subject and have fun. Loopholes and technicalities don't get you anywhere around here.

I agree...but good luck with the voters. If they don't see an obvious transparent medium between them and the subject...well, I'm just sayin'!
