An odd twist in the Lensbaby saga - today I received another one.

I'll be sending it back.

Thought this would be best place to post this. I only have a couple of dpc goals this year and one of them was to get my comments given above received during 2009

2008 total
# Made: 1,061
# Received: 1,922

861 to make up and considering its taken me almost 5 years to make 1061 comments it was a big ask of me. So, the LB SC was a chance for me to catch up, or so I thought and have made 301 comments so far this year. Cool until I say I've received 298 so far so a net of +3 and my deficit is now 858.

# Made: 1,361
# Helpful: 1,187
# Received: 2,221

Am thinking I need another couple of side challenges that entice me to comment on but not enter lol.

In that case, you'll have to go get a nikon :-)) Quicker fix!

(I love my d90)

Seriously, hope it arrives as fast as possible, with no issues. It is hard to wait. I keep looking at the Composer.... resisted temptation so far.

The continuing saga....

So I ordered mine initially on the 11th of December, way back in 2008. I did get notice yesterday that the first one from B&H (wrong lens mount) has made its way back to them and I have received credit for that one. My second attempt through Lensbaby directly originally shipped somewhere around the 20th, I think it was. Didn't make it far before it went back to their factory (no customs form). Sent a note. Got a note back saying they'd reshipped and would send the shipping info. That was about a week ago or so. Sent another note a couple of days ago. So now waiting to see which I get first - the Lensbaby or the shipping info.

Don't be a lensbaby. :P

You'll just have to catch up. Should be easy. I find it easier to come up with several decent pics each day for the lensbaby side challenge as well as macros. Other side challenges are usually a struggle.

Looking forward to your pics, Hanneke! ...and Deb! Both of yours will be worth waiting for, I'm certain.

Well the Lensbaby arrived today... but I had to pay a lot of money (export taxes??) and I didn't have that at home, so I have to wait until friday....

Booohooo!

No word back from Lensbaby yet, though I do realize it's only mid-day on the west coast. I'll check back in the morning my time. Just waiting to see if I need to order again from B&H, though I figure about the time I decide to do that, they'll be out of stock again.... Heh!

And yes, just checked, and they are out of stock of Composers at B&H for everything except Pentax.

I bet due to the mix up she speeds up the shipping to you with no cost, if she doesn't you could cancel and go through B&H and not really lose any time since B&H won't ship the order until Monday afternoon anyway. We are going to get you this lens Deb!

Sadly, there's no such thing as "overnight" to an APO address. Best they could do is overnight it to New York, then it goes into the APO system. The advantage to B&H is they're right across the street from the Post Office, apparently, that handles the APO stuff. So they are pretty quick - one week is considered "overnight" here. :-) I shall wait and see what I hear on Monday. I'll get one eventually. Perhaps in time for Christmas next year!

I'm sure no one will mind if you get a late start. Heck, some have started already. Looking forward to seeing your shots!

Oh, and they're back in stock at B&H. But I shall have to wait to find out what's happened to the one from Lensbaby before I reorder at B&H. Maybe by February. I shall have my own side challenge then, yes?

Did get a note back from the Director of Customer Happiness - she said based on the info I gave her it got returned to their warehouse but she doesn't know why. She'll try to find out on Monday and let me know. So do I cancel that order and try again through B&H?
