Congratulations naomik on top scoring for the team this week, great pic.

I kind of blew it this week, it was one of those last minute jobs that I regretting uploading almost immediately, don't know what I was thinking. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to join a team in the next Olympic challenge.

Thanks to all the team members for the opportunity to enjoy this competition together, I know I've learnt a lot from it even if it may not be so evident in some or my pics and I hope to see some of you again in a future comp.

Guy's looks like thats the last week.

Thanks team for a fun time. I'm glad I put my hand up for this, it forced me to explore my photography more and try new things, and I think I learned a few things on the way. In the twelve weeks I was inspired to build my own light tent (see Art and swan ) and finally got a DSLR (though it hasn't helped my score I'm really loving it :) ) and my SB600 arrived in the mail today (just a bit late for the DPCO ).

Hopefully I can keep the momentum going now, I've signed up for the FS challenge and my wife has gotten used to me setting up weird things in the middle of the night on the dining table to photograph!

So thanks again and hope to see you guys in the next DPCO!!

Tony

Wow... 6.2. Way to go. And... you have a fav for your current entry... you're on FIRE!!!

With 14 minutes of voting left, my entry for Before and After is at:

I was considering a last minute photo for personification, but thought better of it when I remembered all the 4s I was getting earlier in DPCOIII with my last minute photos... thought I'd take a week off.

Mine's a bit less than the 5.75 I predicted, but I'm so chuffed with my 6.2 in the stars challenge that I'm not too disappointed. Would have been good to get another image on my profile page, but looks like it isn't to be.

I'm really sad that the comp is almost over, but also a bit relieved because I don't have anything for bokeh or personification!

How is everyone else?

Mines sitting above my average for the competition but that's not really saying much.

Also, just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on the team. It's been an honour and pleasure to share this experience with you.

I just took a look at the results page for the DPC Olympics III, and does this really mean that we're in the final week? So we've already taken our final shots for the team? That has gone really, really, REALLY fast!

Congratulations Vlado on top scoring this week, great image. Followed very, very closely by naomik.

Have just scraped in with an image in the Before and After. It was rushed, so I'm not holding my breath. I don't think my twisted is twisted enough for the voters. Good luck everyone! ...and congrats to Naomik and Lonni for their top ten placements in the Feast Challenge.

Have an entry in for "Before/After"...not expecting very much from it...just needed an entry! My "Straight" is at 6.0.
Good luck everyone!

Oooh... new image for your profile page huh? Congratulations :)

Depends on how many photos you display per row (controlled in your preferences). I used to only have 3, but recently changed it to 5 in an effort to motivate myself to get a few more 6s.

I have submitted to the Before and After challenge with an image quite different for me. So we will see how it goes. Good luck to everyone.

Have just submitted something for "Before and After". I'm feeling an absence of mojo this week. My "Straight" entry has been steadily dropping all week but with any luck it might end above 6.0 if the scrub is generous...

Good luck everyone.

Have entered fill flash ..and have twisted entered

Thanks you guys for the encouragement. I'm feeling more positive this week, and I'm in for fill flash. I had one idea that I just didn't get around to organising, but something else cropped up, and I don't think it'll do too badly - I predict it's a 5.75.

I imagine that there is going to be a bunch of top quality portraiture in fill flash, but hopefully the number of submissions won't climb too much between now and tomorrow :)

Congrats to Judi and Naomi for strong placings in the masters challenge.

How is everyone else going?

Well done Judi fantastic photo, you too Brat, both of you held the team up this week.
Lonni, we all have bad weeks, no shame in that. Its a team game, some week we play better than others, thats why we have 8 members!

I'm just thankful we are not counting the Free Study or Superpowers, mine are both well below 5 :( Twisted is starting well though so I might make it of the bench :)

Thanks guys. I'm sitting on a 6 in the feast challenge, so I think I used up all my credits on that one. Hopefully my twisted will pick up over the week.

No shame at all Lonni, you've done more than enough to earn your keep on previous challenges.
Personally I think you were a little hard done by as far as your score goes.

Sorry guys - I can't really promise an improvement this week, either :(

No shame... it's a good photo that just didn't do well in the challenge. At least you took a photo and submitted something... something you might never have considered photographing and submitting before. That's what DPC is about, and DPCO seems to force you to do.

Be proud that you're part of the team... and if you're team doesn't require you contribution on occasion, then so be it...

[That's the way I like to look at it... helps me sleep at night, otherwise I'd be up thinking about why the hell I keep scoring sub 5.0s]
